So in little over a week Blink-182 embark on their 2012 European tour. Travis is on a boat, Mark is jet setting around europe and Tom is probably collecting books on aliens and conspiracies to read on the trip.

New Uk Dates on sale today. 2nd Brixton date added

The two new Uk shows at the Manchester O2 apollo on 24th July and the Brixton Academy on the 25th of July went on sale today.
A Second night at the Brixton Academy on the 26th July has also been added and all dates are on sale here.

Warped Tour Founder comments on a blink-182 return

Kevin Lyman, warped tour founder, was recently on The Gunz Show and discussed what it would take for blink to make a return to the warped tour.

Everyone always says, ‘Bring Blink!’ And just as a sheer economics project, think about what Blink would cost and what you’d pay for a Blink ticket compared to a Warped Tour ticket. It doesn’t work economically for Blink. They’re always welcome to come back. The door is never shut for anyone, but they’ve just gotta figure out how to come be part of it and still make it work for that $40 ticket at the door.

Two new Uk Dates added

Mark tweeted this morning that there will be two new blink-182 dates added to the European run and tickets through a pre sale will be on sale tomorrow (May 23rd) at 9:30am GMT.
General release for the tickets is Friday May 25th.

May US Tour dates Cancelled. Euro dates unaffected.

“The members of blink-182 have announced today the cancelation of all their May 2012 tour dates due to a medical emergency. Blink-182’s drummer, Travis Barker, requires an urgent tonsillectomy with a recovery period expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates. The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancelations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support.

The May 10th and 11th concerts at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK have been rescheduled for September 13 and 14, 2012. All previously issued tickets will be honored on the new dates respectively. Refunds are available at point of purchase.

The following tour dates are cancelled and will not be rescheduled:

May 15 at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY
May 17 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH
May 18 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT
May 19 at The Bamboozle in Asbury Park, NJ (There are no refunds being offered for The Bamboozle)
May 20 at Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA
May 22 at Colisee Pepsi Arena in Quebec City, Canada.

Refunds for these performances will be available at point of purchase. Any tickets purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or www.billetech.com will be automatically credited back to the credit card used to make the order. All tickets purchased at venue box offices must be returned to the box office to receive a refund.

Re-Starting the Blink Machine

It has been a quiet few months in the blink camp with the record being released, tours finishing and other projects being worked on, but yesterday saw the beginning of the blink-182 machine starting up again ahead of summer tours which include a 20th Anniversary tour accross the US, Bamboozle, two trips to UK, two nights at the O2 in London and dates all over Europe.

So with all that ahead rehearsals have begun again with Doug (@dougreesh) and Rob (@robertnoise) providing top quality photographs of the rehearsal space.

We have discussion threads for every date of the tour in the forums, so if you are going to a date join in and discuss and share photos!

We will be continuing to bring you up to date blink-182 news right through 2012, thanks for your support, the staff.

NME: Blink-182 to headline Eden Sessions

Blink-182 have announced that they will be headlining an Eden Sessions gig in Cornwall this summer.

The pop-punk trio will play the show as part of their UK arena tour, which they postponed by a year to complete work on their new album ‘Neighborhoods’. They will play the Eden Project venue on July 8.

Blink-182 are the second band to be confirmed for the annual run of shows at the Eden Project, with Plan B previously confirmed to play. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Blink-182 have also confirmed the support acts for their UK arena tour. The band, who have also added a new show at Bournemouth’s International Centre on June 27, will be joined by the The All American Rejects for the entire run of shows and by The Blackout, Twin Atlantic and Four Year Strong on selected other dates.
